“There's no doubt the way I was catching Hayden that I was thinking about a podium. I've nothing to lose so I was pushing...” - Cal Crutchlow.

Much stronger effort from CC this time out. To qualify top 10 and run at podium pace on his first visit to the track is very encouraging for him and the team.

And yes he fell, but he did it while pushing hard for position and it's no disgrace when many more experienced runners did the same. As he said himself, "I'm not going to win the championship and podium was in front of me. I had to push!"

Still a steep learning curve to deal with, he shouldn't be too disappointed.

Good show Cal!! Wish you were able to bring it home, but I'm sure you'll have many more opportunities this season to push towards the front! Good luck Cal!

An excellent showing from Cal and once again showing he deserves to be in MotoGP. It's good to see consistent progression from Cal over a race weekend and when he gets to a track he knows, a great result will surely be his.

Can't wait for Haslam and Rea to join the MotoGP circus in 2012.

Cal brought real grit and determination in addition to his obvious talent this weekend. It's early days, but if he can keep on improving at this rate we may well find that we have a proper contender on our hands.

Despite the fall, its was a brilliant ride by Cal. He showed his talant yesterday for sure. if only he could have stayed on then he would have almost certainly got the podium, in a race with lots and lots of action.

The ony riders you can really feel sorry for though are Edwards and Stoner. There DNF's were nothing to do with their riding, just bad luck.

And Lorenzo showed everyone why he is the world champion!
