@ryall

well, I must admit I did learn something so I'll be the first to honk.

I was unaware that a new non-CRT manufacture will be allowed 9 engines instead of 6. I thought it was cut and dry - manufactures and manufacture supported satellite teams 6 engines and CRT's 12 engines.

HRC 2012 prototype shakedown. Yeah, the onset of the 1000cc limit. The thing is that there is absolutely no mention that the prototype tested is indeed 1000cc. Ducati did shake down a 1000cc prototype. Honda remains to be seen. Given the fuel/bore limitation,refining the RC212V rather than changing it for change's sake to 1000 remains to be confirmed.

Keep abreast.Go to motogp.com,gpone.com, motomatters.com and a host of other sites for further info and insight. The motogp (official) site makes no mention of the Honda being 1000cc,clearly because Honda feel no need to elaborate this early. Ducati made no bones about testing a 1000 prototype in Valencia. Whether either of these factories go with 1000 or something in between remains to be seen. If pigs had wings.
