So pleased for Takahashi that he got a podium. Being on the rostrum and then flying back for his brother's funeral is a hell of an emotional rollercoaster to deal with, and he did himself proud today.

Got to feel for Takahashi - a great performance in the circumstances. Annoying for Redding to be taken out by a careless error from Marquez when he finally looked to have found a decent set up with his Suter chassis. If Iannone could sort out qualifying, he might run away with the championship, but he'd obviously taken too much out of his tyres coming through the field to stay with the leaders. Thanks to Bradl, at least we had a non-Spanish winner in one of the classes this weekend.

Iannone is the fastest. But sometimes it is not the fastest that wins. The fastest sometimes create problems for themselves (just ask Stoner). Luthi is 2nd fastest and less of crasher than Iannone but Iannone always has to do heroics. Bradl has stepped up nicely... 3rd fastest but most consistent. Simon is 4th fastest & lacks that raw speed that Iannone has... Hence still chasing that elusive win. 1st & 2nd fastest need to sort Suter issues asap. Kalex seem the best this year with some of their slower riders from last season occasionaly making top 10 in practice. Tech3 (& to a lesser extent Moriwaki) too inconsistent...results r track dependent. Eskil Suter trying for Motogp might be bad news for Andrea & Tom... Time will tell.
