I seem to remember having to read endless comments about Ben Spies' Godlyness and that he would uterly dominate this years title... Well Spies lovers have you now realised the fact that he is in the presence of the worlds best and most talented riders and he is at best average. Thanks for attending Ben, try to stay on the bike for your fans sake.

Glad to see Pedrosa smiles more often these days. The culprit might be the pre-2011 RCV.

Everybody here says that Pedrosa lead Lorenzo to believe that Pedrosa couldn't outbrake Lorenzo at T1, only to do it 4 laps to finish.

If that's the truth, how come I didn't see Dani tried to outbrake JL even once before?

Also, considering that DP is so much lighter than JL, why couldn't he outbrake JL every single time in T1, over took him early in the race and maybe finish 15-17 sec in front of JL?

There's something that everyone is overlooking, both Pedrosa and Dovisioso were behind other riders for the majority of the race, this would have made a substantial difference to their fuel consumption.

This means in the last lap/laps of the race their engines would not be in fuel conservation mode but running richer and making more power.

I'm not taking anything away from Pedrosa or Dovi, brilliant rides both of them. But perhaps Jorge should have let Pedrosa through earlier in the race and followed him for 10 laps or so conserving his fuel and forcing Pedrosa to use more.

Of course Jorge (or whoever is behind) runs the risk then of not being able to re-pass at the end of the race

I commented after Jerez that if Pedrosa's surgery was successful that he was my tip to win at Estoril given the recovery time to be had. He confirmed post-race that he was in some pain but without numbness or loss of feeling and rode a very intelligent race showing that he has matured into a clear title contender.

I like the way he has stayed out of the controversies that the other protagonists have been sucked into. The pre-season chatter on this site that the championship was a foregone conclusion for Stoner and that Spies would be challenging for wins are proving to be off the mark.

Tip of the hat to Dani Pedrosa !

@De Spies

You do realize a technician left a tool on Ben's bike (the master cylinder), causing him to lose braking ability & concentration don't you? Or should I just assume you're an @sshat regardless of reality?
