MotoGP » Lorenzo: Pedrosa was too strong

"Pedrosa was too strong and consistent and at the end he was maybe fresher to push" - Jorge Lorenzo.

Hats off to Dani! Still recovering and he kept his head cool. Have a feeling if he is able to keep at it on this level for the whole season, this is his best shot at the title. Lorenzo did race well but Dani the little pocket rocket proved too much to handle! Lorenzo seems cool as Dani made a 'clean' pass (as opposed to the press conference dual between himself and Simoncelli!).

Joreg is a complete mature rider and know when he is beaten and not to attack and come home safety with points, if he ride like he did last year and he will be the Champion again.

Rossi will never win the title anymore, there is too many fast guys out there.

Almost more notable than the race itself and Dani's victory was the apparent civility between these who have the image of arch-enemies although Jorge was visibly more reticent and Dani took all the goo manners initiatives. Let me hope that if he had won, we would have seen from Jorge the same maturity as he got from Dani.A bit more dissappointingly, I heard him say almost complainingly that Dani did not do as much work as him for following him around for 25 laps while he (Jorge) got very tired doing all the work, implying that Dani's victory was somewhat opportunistic. Hmmmm. What will we see or hear when the next encounter on track of this kind is with Simo?!

I always think that, as the rule of thumb, a rider who can follow his opponent closely for so many laps, is the faster rider of the two.

It's just, whether he can/dare to make the pass or not.

But if he can make the pass, he will definitely stretch a gap, just like Pedrosa did.

@Hell-a-Luyeah: far from the truth, mate. Lorenzo was the first to go congratulate Dani for the race when Dani was still talking to his team and family in the parc ferme, before they spoke to the media. What Lorenzo said was he carried the weight of the race -and that's true-, and that probably made it more tired toward the end of the race. That is his reading of the race just as he's stepped down from the bike, before he can see any images or check telemetry and laptimes. He also said Pedrosa was stronger than him. I don't know why this should surprise anybody, he aknowledged many times in the past that Rossi or Pedrosa or Stoner were stronger than him in many races.

Open honesty from Jorge. He knew all too well that he was not going to shake Dani off his tail yesterday!
He also knew that the passing move was going to come sooner or later.
Dani made it stick and good on him.Jorge will be out to rectify things next time!
This could turn into an extremely close championship.

i thin there's no love lost between any of the top riders but DP vs JLo is the least 'active volcano' at the minute. I sorely wanted to see them go toe to toe at jerez when DP was catching up mid-race, but both can see that these wars can sap points during the race, and they'd be happy to see others trip each other up.

It's these two guys and casey for the top, but a wildcard like Simoncelli could decide it! Interesting stuff.
