It's always great to see a rider praising another one for a good race.

Well done by both Vale and Dovi. Can't wait to see them at the very front fighting for victories.

It is encouraging to know Rossi is regaining his strength race by race, but it was rather odd to see him slip back as I am always used to seeing him catch up and fight. The Ducati seems to be too rigid where as the other bikes are smooth flowing round the corners. However, Dovi played it smart right to the end - those Honda's have POWER!! I just hope Ducati will find something positive in this test as it would be awesome to see a 4-5 way battle at the front with 3 manufactures involved!

Rather mature of Rossi to acknowledge the better strength and race craft of Dovi on the day and Dovi likewise is not going overboard on what was a tremendous scalp no matter the circumstances. I have a hunch though that if the rider that would have done this to Rossi was Casey or Jorge, we would not be hearing these gracious words. And my, what does just a year bring! Do we have here now a 9 times WC being picked up as a trophy by relative upstarts?! Come on Ducati, hurry up and give the man a bike that will match his talent!

Actually I don't see too much positiveness for Dovi from this. The other Honda's are outpacing the Ducati easily, even Stoner who hasn't had any luck this weekend and couldn't match Pedrosa easily walked away from Rossi. Dovi should have passed Rossi much sooner and take the fight to Stoner! Sure Rossi is no easy target to pass, but this was Dovi's change to shine. He could have passed him and beat Stoner too. I bet he won't get many chances for that to happen again and he should be worried about his seat for next year...

@Dutch, good post.But would you have a theory as to what could be wrong with Dovi?It is difficult to imagine that he is simply short of talent.Could HRC be giving him inferior weaponry?After all, he was kept in the team only because of legal reasons.I like the guy and would like to see him doing much better than this.He is however being diminished by sitting on an apparently winning bike yet dawdling some 15 seconds behind a victory by a similar machine but appearing to be satisfied to be scrapping for only crumbs that far back.Really curious about Dovi I am.

@Hell-a-Luyeah

I think Pedrosa was on the softer type of frame and Stoner and Dovi on the harder ones.

Stoner is known to prefer the stiffer set up and he also known to be able to adapt quickly to different setting of a bike.

Dovi? Not so much...
