There is a saying in racing "you can't win a race on the first lap, but you can certainly lose one."

If Simoncelli can calm down a little bit he'll be a podium contender each race this season..

I'll be cheering for you Sic!

This chap certainly has a big racing heart! However, I am not sure whether he has got a sufficient level of racing inteligence too. He has been a participant of far too many racing incidents which resulted in the gravel. He needs to mature quickly! No disrespect Marco, but for all of your poor luck it is you who should be blamed for!!!

Simoncelli is like a big friendly likeable version of Lorenzo and will come back strong...

it was good to see the rivalry between Sic & Lorenzo after qualifying, shame we never got to see it in the race..luckily Pedro won else Jorge would have really rubbed Marco's nose in it!!

He will sort himself out.
Good to note that HRC provided some insight, I hope it went Dovi's direction as well.
It seems that the new Bridgestones worked better for some riders (bikes?) than others.

There seem to be many on this forum who approve of his style of gladiatorial riding. But how many are just hiding behind the anonnymity of the internet. My question to these posters is how much is enough? Will you be happy when racing becomes like jousting?

I personally like to watch good racing with clean overtaking, rather than the destruction derby style racing which he has no problems with. When a rider has judged an opportunity to cleanly overtake an opponent (or two) without having to barge them out of the way or push them off the track is what I call good racing.

Calvin, smashing into another rider like Capirossi did to Harada in the 250 class years ago is something no sane racing fan wants to see. But a bit of elbow rubbing and paint swapping adds to the joy that is motorcycle racing.

I never want to see any form of motorcycle racing turn into F1 where it seems any overtaking maneuver has to go through a committe meeting before it can be allowed.
