I'm hoping the crashes will make him realise he needs to calm down as well, but I worry the fact he knows he has the pace will make him push it that bit too far.

I'm looking forward to Lorenzo's face when Simo nails it and finishes in front of him though :p

Well I think over one lap Simo can challenge Lorenzo, however probably not over a race distance.... and not just because Simo has problems finishing races! But as Hoppy said, when Simo calms down and gets into that zone he should be able to maintain a more consistent speed to challenge the top riders.

i really believe that under the right circumstances this kid could be a motogp champ. unfortunately i also believe he will always find a way to lose it.

you see it some riders. jorge, pedrosa have it. dovi, simo don't. and yes i do think that pedrosa will win a motogp crown before he is done or kills himself.

Why doesn't he get a haircut? surely all that hair inside your helmet must be so uncomfortable and distracting, I reckon he could be almost a second a lap quicker without all that hair?
