Isn't it funny? Every know-it-all with an opinion pines away for the 'good old days' when men were men etc. etc.

Look at some of the old races, with all the push and shove, fist waving and the like.

You can't have it both ways. Either it's never been acceptable, or today's effort is a storm in a teacup.

Race direction needed to do something... Casey's behaviour on track has been going downhill lately. Maybe 5000 euros was a suprise, but a clear message needed to be sent.
Riders having a spat in the kitty litter is one thing, but continually acting in an aggressive and unsporting manner during practice, qualifying and warm up (and some races) is unwarranted. This morning was only a warm up, he wasn't even pushing for a position

Handbags at dawn! Ha Ha.
What a fuss over a slight incident. Who got hurt exactly. Did Stoney woney hurt DeP.'s widdle feelings? Grow up people. These guys race for a living, if Lorenzo throws his helmet, or Hopkins kicks his fairing, or whatever, who cares? It's not finishing school where they get points for deportment. I get sick of all these politically correct whingers. As for 'anon" wanting to ban him for a few races, great idea, why not ban DeP., Simo (for riding dangerous) Lorenzo (helmet throwing) etc., and let the three or four guys left on the grid battle it out. That'd be fun.

Keyboard experts at it again I see......
No wait just the ususual suspects looking for any opportunity to bash Stoner.
When you've actually raced a motorbike and had that happen to you I suspect you'll have the experience to comment. Otherwise your tappety tapping judgements are pointless drivel.
I suggest you watch the video footage and understand why Stoner was so annoyed in the first place. RdP looked back at Stoner and then moved into his line whilst Stoner was on full gas.
Now as to whether he should have acted that way - well that's another matter - but in the heat of the situation I have some sympathy for him without condoning what his actions.

Sorry, but punching someone whilst on bikes isn't just unacceptable, it's STUPID!! What would have happened if RdP had fallen off and seriously injured himself? Wouldnt it be assault? and who knows it could be worse! Casey already had the fastest time in qualifying, he is becoming a bigger a**ehole and more dangerous with every race that passes.

Waiting for Rossi in free practice so he can ride slowly in front of him, getting annoyed at people for making uncharacteristic mistakes...

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

A 'keyboard expert' is perfectly qualified to comment that Stoner's reaction was wrong.

You cannot use the incident to justify the reaction, to ride up behind someone and punch them whilst they are not looking is plain COWARDLY.

I have not raced, I have some experience on track and yes to have people get in your way is very frustrating but as a person you need to have the *strength of character* not to lash out there and then.
