Didn't see race but let me get this right. Simoncelli knocked Pedrosa off (who would have thought Simo would be involved in an accident), Pedrosa broke his collar bone, Simo was given a ride through penalty and Rossi picked up 3rd with Stoner winning. Sounds a little bit like Rossi inherited some places.

Hey RawDawg, I think you didn't see enough. Marco cut down on Dani from the outside and plainly knocked his front wheel with his knee and the back wheel. When Pedros started to come off his right hand was plainly not on the bars.
Marco chopped his front wheel out from under him mid-corner, plain and simple. He deserved at least that penalty as he was responsible for another riders crash and injury.
Stoner was in a class of his own though.

While I'm on a roll, Rossi's third was as valid as Hayden's championship, which is to say, totally...

In my opinion, the penalty was harsh. Sic is crazy, but this one was a brave maneuver. Rossi has made dozens of moves like that. Noway would he get a penalty for that one. Hope Danni's collarbone is OK!
