Simon, you got it right in one mate, Dani let the brakes off when Marco was up the side of him, then just before the apex he was losing the front & had to pick the bike up, if simoncelli had been a millisecond sooner Dani would have just drove straight past the back of him & into the gravel, & to the other comment Matthew Birk thought that DePuniet should have been fined for Stoner punching him?

its going to get to the stage where ever pass is going
to be scrutinised to make sure it is clean and no contact. just like that british comentator said, whos name i cant remember atm.
"its time they get on with it, next they will be wanting indicators and mirros on their motogp bikes, this is not a knitting class, its racing, back in my day we tried to boot off the guy next to you on track"

The official MotoGP site has the best evidence with it's video freeze frame image.

It's a left hand corner, with Simo leaving plenty room on the inside, & Dani is turning right!!!

as Hayden said,

It's between them two, they don't need me to weigh in on it as I'm sure everyone will have an opinion on it. Two guys racing hard, things can happen, there's been a lot of drama this weekend, a lot of arm waving and this and that.”

I haven't had a chance to read all the comments but the few I've read show that some people talk with their hearts and not their eyes and head. Simoncelli according to footage was way clear. Dani picked his bike up. Who knows why. What worries me is first Biaggi, now Simoncelli then we have a bulldozer move from Lorenzo on Dovi which is racing. F1 is finally becoming racing and the bikes are going to end up like F1 where noone want to make a move unless theres 5m between them. If you want to take part learn to play with the MEN. That goes for Stoner, Lorenzo, Dani and a few others. I thought you were the "ALIENS". Is there a new species in town and its worrying you??? Forget politics and RACE. I think they are scared of hard racing as someone previously mentioned. Come on guys. This is not F1.

Im reading all the comments and the amount of people who disagree that Simonchelli was to blame.
Theres a difference between close hard racing and pulling dangerous moves. Simonchelli now has a habit of the latter. The onboard vision from Pedrosa's bike shows that Simonchellijust laid the bike over the top of him. Pedrosa had no where to go. In any case thats my take. And of course I must be right just like all the rest of the arm chair experts making comments.

Pedrosa was just as much at fault but I want to know why Rossi didn't get a ride through for taking out Stoner @ Herez Rossi was way more at fault than Simmo in this case

to all who say its simoncelli fault get a life watch the race look at the pics a fully fit dani would have went in harder and faster but since he is not 100% fit and late in the race it was taking it toll on him and simo is 100% fit and able to ride harder then dani right till the end and to make moves dani wasnt fit to make simo gave him enough space to give up the spot without crashing like stay where you are and slow down cause i have the lead on you --but no he tried some crap and hit the back wheel of simo,s bike and fell he was out braked around the outside and was about to lose the position and that is that I WISH MORE RIDERS HAD THE BALLS TO MAKE THE PASS ALL THE WAY ROUND THE OUTSIDE TELL YOU WHAT GIVE SIMO DANIS BIKE AND HE MAY HAVE BEAT STONER SIMONCELLI IS RAISING THE LEVEL AND SOME OF THE OLDER RIDERS DONT LIKE IT YOU CANT WIN WITHOUT TAKING RISK JUST THE NATURE OF THE SPORT

He says that he was in front as he entered the turn, but that isn't what it looks like on the replay. In fact he looks well behind and out of Pedrosa's sight as he swooped around him. Pedrosa had no chance of avoiding him as he never even saw him coming. It was careless and reckless and he deserved a stricter penalty than he actually received IMO.
