Who wants to see those "Old Geezers" riding around looking like they own the place again!

Well me for one! That will be a great day to look forward to, only wish I could get there to see the action. Those riders were all one of a kind, win or bust! Fantastic days!

Kenny and Eddie were two of the finest riders I have ever seen,Fast ,hard, and clean and never ever complained or bitched about petty crap.Todays Moto gp boys should all watch how these men did it.

Eddie Lawson -

2 world championships in succession on 2 different brands of the nastiest GP bikes ever built, riding against some of the best riders ever(Spencer, Shwantz, Rainy, Gardiner, Doohan, Sarron)and 500GP wins on three different Manufactures.

He is the real GOAT

What is Roberts doing, wearing a Yamaha shirt and riding a Yamaha bike after having been in bed with Proton, KTM and Honda (in 2006)? Why doesn't he just participate in Honda's, Proton's or KTM's promotional event instead? If anyone is worthy of the Yamaha shirt, it is Rainey. Lawson is to a certain extent too.

might have something to do with the fact that he was a yamaha man all his gp career then won them about 4 championship as team manager, is that yamaha enough for you??

Yamacka, how wrong can one person be ? Roberts entire career as a rider was with Yamaha and as a team manager he ran yamaha bikes until he fell out with them late in his management/team owner career. You say Rainey is more worthy? For sure Rainey was great,he won 3 world title for yamaha team Roberts !! They call Kenny Roberts "KING" for a reason,he was THAT GOOD !! Roberts will always be associated with Yamaha especially the black and yellow clours of yamaha USA.He was also the first US 500cc world champion.I mean,do you want me to continue as to why Roberts is more than worthy of ANYTHING ?? Kenny is and will always be KING !! (yeah i'm a big fan !)

I remember watching Roberts, Lawson and Mamola racing at Laguna back in 1983, I watched the superbikes go around the track and then was stunned by just how much faster the GP bikes seemed to be.

Those were the good old days back then, MotoGP has a lot of really fast guys now but I miss the 2 strokes.

@Monster GOAT GOAT GOAT GOAT does my head in....been scanning the pages on here and people arguing who's the GOAT is it rossi, stoner, rainey, schwantz, spencer, lawson well mainly is seems on here it's between rossi and stoner!!what a load of bull....rossi can stand shoulder to shoulder with the 500 champs theres no doubt about it.But really any rider from the last 50 yrs could never be considered for the GOAT.That accolade could really only go to the riders of the 50's&60's...Duke,Surtees,Hailwood,Agostini..
