@The geek

Yes I know I've gone out on a limb here, but got a photo sent from a mate and we would swear blind the frame that can be seen appears to be black painted aluminium (and i know I'm going to look like a complete tool if I've got it wrong!)

i think ducatis biggest problem is the test riders.....seriously Vittoriano Guareschi!! chief test rider/manager FFS...that guy could'nt crack the top ten in WSB.But apparantly can develope bikes for the fastest riders in the world !!...what a joke.They need someone like capirossi to do their testing

It's not just Gaureschi who's a worry, according to this article "With Filippo Preziosi, Franco Battiani and Vittoriano Guareschi having already completed two days of evaluation on the GP12".
Not been funny, but if Preziosi's been testing it, are they really going in the right direct?

Vitto as test rider...true it should be rather Capirossi and the same wrong direction has Suzuki with Aoki. In the headline its about Ducati going right direction with GP12 but I read more about praising new asphalt.

I believe Vittoriano Guareschi has been involved in Ducati testing since their foray into Motogp, that would make him somewhat instrumental in the development of the D16 during Stoner's 2007 and Capirossi's 2006 campaigns...

This year, between Guareschi, Capirossi and Rossi, Ducati should be in good hands if not better than they have been in years...

The future for Ducati is very bright - Red...

The same old team as in 2011, not even doing as well so far as Stoner did in his first four races as a rookie on the crappiest privateer Honda run by a brand-new team to motoGp using the bottom-of-the-pile Michelins. It's a great baseline against which to measure.
