Fair enough - you can't justify the comment about being an unwelcome distraction. She is not sponsoring TT or BSB so that is irrelevant but you go and ask any of the teams in those two series if they would welcome her money if they could get it and I bet there are precious few who would not. It is obviously of some interest to you, as you read the bloody article and went to the bother of making a comment in the first place and then responding. Pity I was hoping for some kind of reasoned insight but none to be had.

Your like a dog with a bone. When I watch the bikes I want to hear from informative folk, so anyone there for glamour reasons is an unwelcome distraction, taking time from more important things. As I said I don't think it's news you do. This is a motorsport site so I thought motorsport news was the important thing. Calm down dude.

What you Brits continue to fail to realize is that the Hilton Brand is a multi million dollar Global corporation.

Recently Ms Hilton has been making the rounds of the (syndicated) US based TV chat shows and her involvement in Motorcycle racing keeps coming up. Her attendance on the Jay Leno "Tonight Show" saw her "ride" the bike into the studio.

Sponsorship dollars are sorely needed by an awful number of small and big teams. Hence Paris Hilton's money is very welcome.

I am not her biggest fan. Still, I wouldn't be too upset doing her. Anytime, anywhere !!!

In this instance perhaps I am like a dog with a bone - dude! Then again why not? Ignorant cynicism is worth challenging. It is unfortunately quite prevalent in Britain and as our American friend has pointed out the exposure that Paris Hilton is garnering for the series, over there, is huge and you can bet that then goes global. So there you go, news worthy.

Is it any less worth while some glamour girl with loads of dosh getting exposure and sinking money in or a tobacco company doing the same, or a Bank, or a company who make generators or ? You can equally argue that none of them are any more relevant to motor sport.

Just a pity that a bit of an interesting debate could not be entered into.

The simply fact that Paris is even involved with Motogp, is to the credit of the PR and marketing dept. of the Blusens team. The partnership between the team and Paris is mutually beneficial to both sides as far as exposure is concerned...

BTW, a bunch of guys b-itching about a reasonably hot chick's association with Motogp is slightly odd and concerning to begin with anyway...

Hongamanooga! Wot u on about? The truth! She's never dun nothing but be an heiress to the Hilton Brand and try to look glamorous in nightclubs or wherever! Its just a little plaything with Daddys money and while young Mavericks got some attention so will she! Still! At least when the TV cameras flick to the pits she's better to look at than the Aspar crew!
