interesting. they would know better then us,
im sure people on here will disagree with a man who is
actually racing the bike wont they.

Pretty grim prognosis then because things won't change with the 1-litre bikes. Electronics development and tyre technology will keep pushing forward, so the 'overtaking zone' is not going to get any greater.

Seems like MotoGP is doomed to be the class with the least amount of overtaking per race, even with a larger grid. That's a pity.

It does not matter whether it had become harder or easier. He cannot keep up with other 800cc riders and he failed to master the bike that another rider had the most wins on, and these are the things that matter.

For sure it makes sense. just look at world superbikes, less electronics heavier bikes means easier overtaking. Still think single tire rule is gay though as well as fuel restriction. Problem is though, suoerbikes probably will go the same way as its already heading in that direction. bring back 500cc two strokes to sort the men from the boys

Funny that when Rossi (A guy that knows a thing or few about racing) sais it's becoming less possible to do more overtaking, a keyboard warrior like Pcxmac sais otherwise.

Go play some gp games on our entertainment system, perhaps you will discover more overtaking places.

Old perspective, but it'd be so interesting to see how these "handbag" carrying pups would fare on bikes with zero traction control & GPS controlled mapping. Guys would def begin to slide down in the rankings considering the fastest guys these days came of peaky 250's, hopping onto super high-tech traction controlled bikes with narrow power bands. I understand safety is important, but isn't self preservation as well? These guys would learn to feel the bike much more, rather than hope a fuse doesn't blow & send them flying. Electronics blur the skill level of the rider somewhat.
