MotoGP » Stoner 'annoyed' as pole slips away

"We're confident with our race pace on hard tyres if the weather stays dry, it's just upsetting to have a qualifying session like this" – Casey Stoner.

look at you people...hate this like that..its disgusting..are you truly bike fans??

If you want a great Australian look no further than Cam DOnald...2nd in todays First TT..now there's a true great... modest and humble..a great character and boy can he ride a bike on the roads...he's got more balls in his little finger than stoner and all you lot of lunkheads put together...

the more i see and here about this rubbish the more i know the true sole of biking is in the club racers and the road racers...they are the real role models!

rant over...i'm off to celebrate the amazing McPint's 16th TT victory and laugh at the hollowness of the armchair moto gp fans!

He can always make it up at the race start or during the race. Riders do that all the time.

This won't hurt his race, what it hurts is only his ego.
We know that he really wants to be on top at practices and qualifications so bad, that it looks like he spends most efforts in FP and QP compared to other riders.

He's on the best bike this season, and when somebody beat him (albeit on the same bike), it will hurt his ego even more.

He's not happy with second because he wants to be the best. What's wrong with that???? Good on him for not wanting to be like most the other riders and be happy with just making the podium.

Please remember, that CRASH net is UK based website and they will write articles to ensure that the continue to satisfy their home supported base. This is why they perpetuate the the negative media (UK) profile of Stoner, thus 'annoyed" appears in the tittle of this article. and not "Tomorrow we will have a good race, hard fought and I look forward to it".
This race looks like it will be the best race of the season and the media are more interested in fabricating rider personas

I am not a fan of Stoner by any means but the guy is super talented, even Rossi has said that. The way Stoner speaks is just the way Aussies are. They speak without really thinking how it will actually come across, I have worked with alot of Aussies and thats just how they are. Best thing Stoner could do is take a leaf out of Troy Bayliss's book, keep your answers simple and be gracious in defeat. A PR course would no doubt do wonders also, Stoner reminds me alot of Waynne Gardner.

I like stoner reckon he is the fastest rider out there on a good day, but I don't like his interviews when he is down, they shine a bad light on him. Just say you were fast enough and leave it at that. The rest you can discuss with your team in the pits
