NEWSFLASH - Bradl handed 20 second penalty by race direction for finishing in front of spaniard Marquez, which at a spanish race run by a spanish company is seen to be illegal. This result was decided yesterday.

*Update* Simon has broken his leg.

Lets see how race direction deal with Keenan, will it be a 3 race ban, 20 second penalty on his next race?

No - the two moves are totally different - Sofuoglu made a mistake on the brakes on corner entry (admittedly a bad mistake) whereas Zarco stuck his elbow out and lened across to push another rider off the track.

One was a mistake, one was deliberate.

I don't agree with the 20 second penalty though.

Keenen should have some penalty after all his accident as left a Spanish rider injured, race direction has seen to be penialising any rider who goes against Spanish riders in a Spanish run championship

If they penalise Sofuoglu, we might as well stop watching any more. That was a pure racing incident and Simon was unlucky. I'll give him an 8.5 for the front flip though.

Is Bradley the Edwards of Moto2? Fast in practice, plagued by bad luck.

What a shame... From 17th on the grid, Kenan was easily having his best race of the season by a mile. I think he was focused on giving Stefan a run for his money and wanted to pass Simon too fast too soon. It was a terribly misjudged move. Even if Simon was going into the corner a bit slow, it's entirely the following rider's fault, since the one in front can't see what's happening behind.

On another note, he has never raced in this track before and his showing was very encouraging. Just like Estoril last season. But he can't ride the wave of 'promise' forever. 5 races, zilch points... Hope he can recover from this and start showing his best to us.

As for Simon, I'm really gutted. I just hope his injuries aren't bad and can get back on the thing asap.
