MotoGP » Lorenzo: We need something to fight Stoner

"I would like to fight for wins this year. With this bike it is going to be tough. So I need a little improvement to make the bike quicker. But also I would like to fight for wins in 2012" – Jorge Lorenzo.

Honest George. Fair play to him. Against Casey they are on a little of a 'backfoot' in the engine department.Behind Ducati too in that area.
But,rider wise, nothing to worry about, solid as a rock #1. Against the other Honda factory riders, well, nothing to worry about. Ducati and Rossi are currently not part of the equation Dr Thompson, thats why Lorenzo never mentioned them. I reckon Spies will close Hayden and Rossi down sooner rather than later.
Add Dovi to that list :)

If you would bother looking at results you would realize just how stupid that comment is.

How is that competitve Ducati doing this year. Race winner and pole setter to a constant fifth place finisher two days behind the race leaders.

Southerner...can you read?

Perhaps Rossi would be on another bike? A Honda? Or perhaps Yamaha?

And there is humour there

Rossi took sponsorship money away from Yamaha. But not necessarily all to Ducati. Less cash less speed, usualy...Honda has demonstrated from 2004 how a very poor attitude hurts results too. Many engineers went in and out of Honda recently. But this attitude worked, eventualy...50kg, what a joke.

For Dovi to win there needs to be a major change in attitude from him. Dont see that happening. He will win, but by default or in the rain etc. Besides he has one of the best attitudes out there. Why change it? The last time I checked there was no law which states that a rider has to fight for championships. World Champions are picked for their attitude. A killer attitude. Thats from Colin Edwards.

I'd have to disagree here. Lorenzo "seems" to be waiting for Yamaha to do something while Rossi is making things happen at Ducati. Stoner & Lorenzo are pretty much where they were at the beginning of the season, and they are fast. But look how Rossi has progressed on the Ducati from winter testing to now. It's very impressive actually :)

Rossi's lap times are faster than Stoner on the Ducati in 2010 so any talk abou Rossi can't ride the Ducati like Stoner can are garbage.

The point to consider, is the Honda is 3 seconds faster. 3 seconds.

Yamaha and Ducati simply cannot compete with that.
It is frustrating that Pedrosa is injured as now we cannot see any battles at the front between the two Hondas.

Casey made a great decision to join Honda, they are dominating and have 3 works machines. Honda will win both championships comfortably.

All the Aliens can win the championship, but they need the machine to win on. Look how Lorenzo walked last year, and now Casey will walk all over Lorenzo.

How is that dominating 2010 Yamaha doing this year. Race winner and pole setter to falling back behind honda.

A near perfect copy n paste. :)

All Jorge is to keep getting on the podiums till the new engine arrived in August, still doing an excellent job to be leading the championship to date.

If Stoner was still at Ducati this year, I think he would have a win by now, he had a fast bike at the end of 2010 and nearly won the last race of 2010, so Rossi is not doing a great job on the Ducati.
