@Don R

Leon is not really a newcomer to the premier class, he was on a Honda V-twin 500 two stroke on the wonderfully coloured Shell Advance team and I'm sure he rode the full NSR 500 when Chris Walker was injured in 2001 or 2002 season.

A lot of people is talking about Rea, Haslam, Laverty, Camier...
DO you remember they are being outperformed by some old riders that don't deserve a place on MotoGP like Checa, Biaggi or even Melandri?
I'm sorry. No good british riders at this moment...
Maybe Redding in some time...

@ po, Wacko

Yeah I know Leon's run in GPs before but I was meaning newcomer to MotoGP, since everything is so very different from the old days of the 2t 500s. I still think 30 is a bit on the old side for a guy moving into the class these days, with early-mid 20s being considered the optimum age. Not saying he couldn't do it, but team managers do tend to look to younger riders to bring up whenever possible.

@the real Ty46. Don't worry, the admin can see ur email address and delete the post from the later Ty46. It happened to me several times before I register. So please register.

Regarding Elias, I still believe that it's just his luck. I remember him doing well (even better than Dovi) pre 09.

If he's not good enough for MotoGP while he can dominate Moto2, then I'm worrie if the current crop of Moto2 riders will do the same when they're upgraded.
