No sarcasm this time.

I think Edwards qualifying 8th just a week after breaking a major bone and the subsequent surgery should get respect from even the most jaded haters.

He may never be the GOAT, but he very well might be the Ballsiest Of All Time.

Casey Stoner on top of his game! one quick lap left Simmoncelli and Lorenzo fighting to beat his time! If dry he will shoot forward and power his RCV to another victory! hey how is Rossi doing on a Ducati, atleat the TV director are doing a good job showing him how slow he is! Get well Cal we need u mate more than the slow junkies!

Karel Abraham star of the session hands down!

The top 4 guys were miles ahead of the rest. Even though Spies is 4th and well clear of 5th, he really wasn't in the fight for pole. Jorge and Marco could dip under Stoner's 1st and 2nd sector times and Marco could even get under it in the 3rd, but Casey had something figured out in the 4th sector because Jorge and Marco would always lose time to him there.

And Rossi - probably the worst Q of his career in MotoGP. There has to be some head scratching going on in his pits. Abraham, Hayden, RDP, and even Barbera are all in front of him. Even Hayden hasn't been out Q by that many other Ducatis.

Surely the most embarrassing moment in Rossi's career? Even if you use the dodgy frame as an excuse he's still miles behind Karel Abraham on a Private bike. He should be at LEAST a second ahead of him! He can't use the track as an excuse, as it was a new track for everone last year and Lorenzo was in the 2.03s. He seems to have lost that ability to push the bike beyond its limits. It's such a shame, because like him or loathe him, the racing is far more entertaining when he's at the sharp end.

oh, I forgot about Edwards!!!

Ol' man Colin showed some true grit today. Hard man right there for sure.

Terrible, terrible luck for Cal. I had him pegged for a good result this weekend. Tech 3 has had such a run of bad luck the last couple of rounds.

With Rossi in the back and Cal out, I'm sure there are some really disappoint fans in the stands.
