@Ty46. If the ducati was the best bike in 2007, where was capirossi? Then in 2008, why could my marco ride "the best bike" yep, the guy who finished second behind Rossi, on the Honda which was without doubt the best 4t gp bike ever made? Hayden only started getting on with it after they changed the engine for a soft one. Stoners ride on the Honda, in his rookie year. Poles and podiums on a very customer bike. Had stoner had the sense to jump ship years ago, there is no doubt that ha would have more titles. Rossi was so scared of this guy, he blocked a bid from yamaha to sign him. Rossi left yamaha not for the challenge, but because his young team mate was kicking his **** on HIS bike. The king is dead, long live the king.

that ducati is an absolute pile of rubbish...its not a rider problem its a bike problem thats obvious now, its a waste of carbon fibre...Stoner must be laughing everytime he puts his helmet on.........hahahahahahahaha
Honda are just rubbing there noses in the spaghetti bolognese now.......Stick to scooters boys and leave the big bikes to the Japanese....

For 4 years Casey worked very hard on that Ducati and was basically forced to over ride it to get his wins.It was also the reason he had so many crashes. This has been common knowledge for a long time.Yet many accused him of cracking under pressure from Vale and that there was nothing wrong with the bike.Vale now knows that Casey was right all along.Even his fans are now admitting that the bike is a pig/pos/heap etc.Credit has to go to Casey for the tremendous performances he put in on what is clearly an incredibly difficult bike to master. Now he is on a much more user friendly machine and his results are speaking for themselves.I think the championship is now his to lose.

I've just found this, part of a post I made :-

"Rossi, with or without JB, will have that Duc on the podium at the first race. Why doubt it? Casey, the obvious yardstick, will have far bigger problems on the Honda."

The case of Stoner seems to be very funny as he never claimed himself 'I'm the best, I'm better than You, watch who You're talking with, ect' and actualy he was always behind that. He wasn't ever worried about who will be his teammate not because feeling unbeatable on the Duc (he actualy was very helpful and open towards Chaz Davies, Marco Melandri or Nicky Hayden to get them used with the bike) but because he was beyond that 'tension creating' things. He would never even think about create the WALL. That's why he has no problems with Lorenzo, he coworks well with Dani. Very normal and very social dude but with dirty image made by scarried 'mind destructors'. But fair play always pays off at the end.

@ motofan, thanks for the correction, as for the dnf,s, what fast rookie didn't have them? I seem to remember Lorenzo putting himself into orbit a fair few times, the important thing was that after every crash, he was still just as fast the next weekend

How much $ have Ducati spent 'developing' the bike since Vale joined?
I'd like to know as some1 mentioned that Honda have the big bucks to follow 3 or 4 development paths at the same time to see which works best- thus they refine improve and perfect (though it did take them 3 years to 'peak' the bike)
We heard about big money sponsorship for the Doc on the Duc but its not working. I dont think Ducati know what theyre doing... they need some Honda/Yamaha input!

Those five laps for CS when his visor fogged after being behind Dovi must have been scary due to his limited vision.

Once the visor cleared the gap to Dovi immediately increased.

very strange:
Now that VR shows and admitted that he has very big problems with the duc the more people admit and admire the results of CS on the duc
Casey is up where he belongs
