mattbloke - Rossi had no chance against Lorenzo in 2010 with being months behind in setup and injured. so Lorenzo never really kicked his ass while at Yamaha.

Regarding Ducati in 2007, 08. It doesn't matter who couldn't adapt, stoner could and had the fastest bike.

@Ty46.."Carmen, in 2007 Ducati was the best, in 2008 too. In 2004 Honda was the best. So what you say is BS. Rossi won twice on inferior bikes, Stoner not once."

You are incorrect here. The GP8 was a dog until mid season by which time Ducati had worked out what GP7/8 bits worked(mechanical and electronic)and what did not.

Maybe the bike for the rest of the 2008 season should have been called the GP7.5

Did Ducati revert to the GP7 chassis with these changes?

CA, it was such a dog, he won the first GP. He won 6 that year and crashed from 1st a few times. So he was fastest at 50% of the races at least.

Don't understand why people are even mentioning VR at the moment. He's a non factor this year, its stoner, dovi, simo and Jorge. Simo even has more of the Italian press in his conference rooms during race weekends than Rossi does. The pecking order is shifting.

Its clear that Rossi moved to Ducati in order to maintain his reputation as the GOAT, loosing to your teammate is very bad when you have that reputation.

I wonder which will eventually cost him more fans, getting beat by Lorenzo on the same machinery or his poor showings on the Ducati.
