"I was just happy to stay up on the bike, it was incredibly cold and I was so nervous as in these conditions it's so easy to crash!" – Casey Stoner.

By the way, the award for post of the year goes to the genius blaming.....wait for it....... Casey Stoner for Rossi's inability to ride the Ducati (I'm serious, go back a few pages and see for yourself). The scary thing is they are probably serious. Very funny.

To say stoner is the best rider is pushing it a bit far, he is without doubt a very good rider but they all are. He does look like he is going to win the championship this year but the honda is the best bike this year which is undeniable, as was the case with the ducati in 2007, what does that tell you. Rossi's lap times are quicker this year than stoner's were last year it's just that honda have invested so much to make sure that they win an 800cc championship that they pushed so are for, be a bit embarrassing if they didn't win at least 1 wouldn't it.

That tells you that you need a very good bike to win the title and a very good rider..... No different to any other year, always been the case.

The myth that was created that Rossi could win on anything was exactly that.

almost anything "aaa"
VR could probably do a far side better on the Suzuki. That Ducati is truly a POS. The Satilite tems are really screwed by getting a "b" parts version of a total mess.

The funny part is that Ducati pulled their "factory" label away from WSBK to piss all of it's resources into that lost mess of a gp team. And Checa is cleaning up. It will probably force an early retirement of VR at the end of next year.

Does anyone at Ducati know WTF they are doing anymore?

just because the factory label was taken away from checa's bike doen't mean it isn't a factory bike. It's probably just as "factory" as any wsb ducati has been in rectnt years.

I disagree that Dani should have won a title by now and that the honda has been the best bike of the past few years. It's advantage this year seems to be more to do with yamaha going backwards, Lorenzo claimed the other day that he couldn't go as fast as last year. Casey will probably win the title but Dani missing a couple of races has given him an open goal really. Not saying Dani would have beaten stoner but he'd be closer to him than Dovi or Sic.

"as i recall Moaner only had 1 podium and 2 DNF's by round 6 last year. how many DNF's for Rossi?? "

That is before Casey's team fixed or improved the front end problems on the Ducati. Regardless of points scored, Stoner was at least fast on it. Qualifying well, leading at times, getting on podiums without having people crash in front of him. You do realize you are giving your man Rossi props for just not crashing and bringing it home. If that is the stuff legends were made of then Colin Edwards' name would be up there with Lawson, Doohan, and Agostini.
