Cal Crutchlow is a DEMON. I also look forward to a 2009 Imola repeat b/w Spies and Sic...although there's no Biaggi for Sic to laughably barge his way past haha

@ As for Rossi, before the bashing starts, this bike is brand, brand new... no testing at all other than FP this weekend.

Hardly. This from the mouths of Ducati

"The GP12, on the other hand, is a different kettle of fish altogether. The difference between the 2012 machine tested by Nicky Hayden and Valentino Rossi last week at Mugello and the 2011 machine which Rossi is riding this weekend is just two parts: a modified crankshaft to give the engine a shorter stroke, bringing it inside the 800cc maximum capacity, and longer conrods to fit the relocated crankpins. Everything else, Guareschi revealed, was identical, the bike being an adaptation of the GP12 which Rossi had tested and been so pleased with at the Jerez test."

Simoncelli has a great chance to win this one, nobody has been even close to his pace today. Would be great he can finally take to the race the talent and speed he shows during practice.

Spies did a very good qualifying, although his pace isn't very impressive. He seemed to be pushing dangerously close to de edge, so he'll have to work hard for the podium. Anyway, a very good performance.

Stoner aknowledged he doesn't have a good race pace, and blamed it to lack of confidence after he fell earlier during FP2. He expects to be stronger during warm up and race.

Lorenzo very unhappy with his setup, says rear wheel is sliding too much in fast corners, to the point of being dangerous, but hopeful he and his team can fix this for the race.

Rossi. No comment.

Now now, be nice to Rossi. He is Italian, he knows that anything built by Italians is glossy and beautiful but rubbish underneath. He is therefore very brave to get on a Ducati and ride it at 300kph. Nearly as brave as Stoner in fact, just not as good.
