"I'm thinking Spies speed had lot to with the cold track temperature. He got some magic setup that allowed him to got tires up to optimum temperature. Superb performance anyway that he most likely cannot match in next race.

I think you're very close to the money there. The first magic element is body weight. We've all heard for years what a huge advantage the lightweight guys have, well when things are cold and slippery, it doesn't seem that way.

The second is skill. Ben did a great job all weekend - simple as that.

Congrats to Ben for a well-deserved maiden win. Let's hope he builds on this and gets more good results in this season (hopefully a win at Laguna or Indy).

I feel so much for Cal Crutchlow who was well set for a top 5 until no fault of his own lost him time.... :(

As for the championship, Stoner's slowly starting to sew it up. He has a good lead, and generally a quicker bike than Lorenzo's Yamaha (this track was more like tailor-made for the Yamaha so it is faster here).

If Jorge would be nervous he surely would crash himself. I think whether it was nobody fail he must feel mad couse with that circumstances (good base setup so confidence) on that track today he met 'the wall' and was left at the back. Especialy when defending the title. Maybe changing the mindset would help him like from 'defending' to 'chellenging'. Why not? As for Simoncelli, no offence but maybe it's time to shave the head? I mean really. It often calm mentality.

As expected Rossi finished 4th .Good effort.Nice to see a new face on the podium in no 1 position.Simoncelli probably need some more crashes to learn how not to crash.

Super effort from Ben today. He put his head down and went for it.Not even Casey had an answer for him, although it has to be said he hasnt been looking his usual self this weekend. But as the commentators said,a bad day at the office for Casey means a 2nd step on the podium!
But Ben was the hero of the hour today without question.I hope he can maintain this kind of form for the rest of the season.Well done mate.
