"I thought he learnt from the past and the polemic he created with Dani [Pedrosa] but it's clear he hasn't" – Jorge Lorenzo.

Maybe I'm going senile in my old age (27) but is it possible to highside with the throttle closed? Surely a highside is too much power going into the back wheel which causes the tyre to gain traction really quickly which makes the bike kick, thus sending the rider skywards...? Or something along those lines.

How therefore can a bike highside, with no power going to the back wheel?
Off the throttle my ar*e.

if ianonne is the crazy joe from italy this guy is the average joe.
as far as jorge is concerned, i think from now on he will try to get the holeshot and run away and if at all this dude passes him he will slow down so that he doesn't get caught up again.

Well i've only just stopped laughing lol! Simmoncelli is great, he's just what this series needs to keep the namby pamby time trial riders on their toes lol! He brings great controversy and antagonism to a series that is rapidly becoming a two wheel version of the deadly dull Formula 1.
Roll on Mugello lol!

The back end can slide yeah, but the power had to have gone on for the back wheel to then kick like it did. Otherwise it would have continued to spin
And he'd have just lost the rear into a lowside. Power on = high side. Low sides don't chuck the rider in the air. Simple physics my friend.

I actually feel sorry for Marco.

I like him he is good to watch just like inspector clouseau in pink panther films!

he's unlucky as his mistakes are taking riders out.

Let's not crucify him though he'll improve and probably win a race this year.

ps yamaha keep that livey please

It is a pitty that he took out Lorenzo, as Stoner has a big gap now to Lorenzo. Marco has a lot to learn, of course. However ever rider that can outpace one of the 4 aliens should be in Motogp. Let's hope that further crashes/incidents like thit will not happen on a regular basis
