re: "The mystery for me is why the Suzuki can't generate the heat? The heat comes from the tyre working, so are the swingarm and chassis too flexible around the swing arm? Is the tyre carcass not compressing enough? Who knows? Nobody, it seems..."

a better question that goes along way at explaining all of this and more is, "does anybody (of importance) care"...? you would be surprised by the answer.
