MotoGP » Simoncelli feels a 'fool', but Gresini shares blame

"I am fast, I have found a perfect feeling with the bike and I am extremely determined to prove it in a race. There will be a lot of fans at Mugello and I cannot afford to disappoint them" – Marco Simoncelli.

"I was sorry for him but more than that I am was for myself because I had thrown away a big opportunity"

So he's more pi55ed that he didn't get a podium than he was possibly wrecking another guy's season or injuring him. What can you say with a statement like that????

His FIRST possible mistake of the season....possible???

Gresini only adds to this by reinforcing these beliefs so with only a "possible" mistake last outing he believes all the other crashes were what exactly?

Looks like more trouble ahead for this hairy unit.

So, did race direction even look at this incident? If not then it proves that what I said before was correct. The pass itself was fine, the fall was rider error and a racing incident. I hope Marco can put all this behind him and ride through the pressure. He's an exciting competitive rider. Hope he can eventually shine through and show us what he's made of. Any rider under pressure can make a mistake.

Keep it pinned Bob!!
You can make them stop crashing but you can't make them go faster!
I know people aren't happy with him and say this and that should of happened but I think we forget he's a young lad aswell.
Nice to see some hunger and fire in this class!!

@wadcutter,

He's the same age as Lorenzo, Pedrosa, Stoner & Spies.
He's been in the circus since 2002.
It took him 4 years in 125's to get 2 wins and 3 years in the 250's to get his first win.

Alien he is not.

"A man may fall many times, but he won't be a failure until he says that someone pushed him."

Hang in there Simo, you WILL win a race this season i'm sure of it. Learn from these small mistakes and don't listen to the haters out there.
