Lets not forget that is only Stoners 8th GP on the Honda 800 and not a lot of testing these days. It's perfectly normal to do a slight mistake with the setup with so little expirience on the bike. It's not like Lorenzo/Spies/Rossi etc have nailed the perfect setup in every race.

Lorenzo once again prove himself deserve the #1 plate. It's not yamaha who wins today, It's lorenzo and his big balls pushing the yamaha flat out!

Dovizioso was brave today, 2 times smoked rossi, 1 stoner. If he could use this momentum to burst his confidence. He's soon joining the top 4.

Despite of the tyre problem he has on the last few laps, and playing safe is understandable. Once again this guy is not a fighter.

Simoncelli and his great talent must be put on the right place, or it will be wasted. His pace outside the race is amazing. But he have to find away to get good rhythm on the real race.

It's sad to see Rossi fighting with mediocre, I hope when he's got everything right, it's not too late

As for Ben Spies, he's a fighter, if he's consistant, he will join the party on the top group.

So, according to most on here, 3rd place is as good as coming last. It's still better than coming 6th, but there seems to an exceptional circumstances policy for that boy.

Odd that rather than rate Lorenzo for an amazing ride, most of the Rossi fans/Stoner haters focus on Stoner being 3rd instead. Even more stupid is saying Stoner can only win when he's got a clear track.....errr...that's what he had for most of the race, dimwit.

Racing will soon be for race fans that watched it before 1996. When Rossi's gone racing will be about racing not comedy toilet breaks and signing deeds.

rossi was the record holder of mugello.never lost podium for more than 10 years.but now rossi lost podium in mugello..strange..this is too much.I will blame the bike .ugly old fashioned ducati.thats the reason why two world champions are struggling to finish in 5th or 6th.

Great ride by JLo and Dovi. JLo was really fast on the old tires. Re: Stoner's complaing....would you guys rather him say what exactly went wrong and tell us about the tires and the pressure, or just say "it didn't go our way and we will get them next time". I don't know about everyone else, but I love hearing what actually went wrong instead of some vanilla response. Obviously Stoner had some issue because he had pace and then you could see him sliding around everywhere. I am thankful for riders that give details about what was going on in the race.

I guess, Stoner could guess what will coming in the race day. The way he prepared his sidekick, work for his QP very early, Lorenzo is very hard to beat when he declared he must win started from this round.

The M1 developed by Lorenzo since last year finally get his second win. It not much of the bike, instead Lorenzo's accuracy with his tight racing line and perfect paces, beat both Hondas. Even Stoner changing his racing line too frequent that lead Dovi able to get closer and get by him. Dovi waited too long to pass Stoner hoping Stoner able to fight back. But if he move early, he might able has bigger chances to fight Lorenzo for a race win since Stoner has nothing left under his sleeve once Lorenzo increase the gap.

back to simoncelli... previously he was running front runner's pace. ever since he take out pedrosa he is losing his fast pace...
i guess HRC has a remote switch to detune his engine when the flag is off...
practise, qualify there's no physical touching with factory honda and hence he is fast?
