Sorry Mr. "Go Science",

"Irrefutable" is hardly the case. While it's true detectable radiation that leads to exposure has dropped dramatically since the incident, as I've mentioned, that's not the real danger. It's the airborne radioactive "hot" particles that pose the biggest threat AND are virtually indetectable. Research has shown in surrounding area's you could inhald as many as 10 hot particles A DAY. Please read information from "actual" independent scientists regarding this delimma. Google "Fairewinds Associates" for starters.

Though their decisions don't surprise me, their attitudes do disappoint me. It gives the impression that Japan is unsafe and that their presence over just 5 days will mean they come away contaminated, which is unlikely.

Do they forget that people actually still live in and around that area? It's not a ghost town at all. Precautions would have to be taken, but I think that's a small price to pay to go and support a country that has been torn apart in the last few months.

A real shame for the fans - it looks as though they're saying 'We feel for you, but we will only support from afar'.

If they donate some money to the relief effort, my faith in them may be restored.

Had this happened back in the Sheene/Roberts era, the riders would have gridded at motegi smoking chesterfields, swilling whiskey and wearing lead cod pieces. Not sayin' this generation of riders are pussies or lack moral fortitude....just sayin'...that's all!

They probably get more radiation from riding on airplanes all the time. Surely can't say It's a bad decision though.

Shouldn't really hurt their championsip chances though since these are the two riders most likely to win the championship this year. I wonder if they made a mutual agreement

What a crack-up, all you "hard men" calling the riders pussies and that they should go and risk their future health for your entertainment.

"just sayin", what a load of bullsh!te. What a bunch of piss poor, un-informed, reactionary loosers you all are.

Get a grip - its only a motorcycle race, after all.
