Grat race.

The testing advantage that marquez has over the rest of the field is being addressed - next season there will be a limit on testing so that rich teams can't test virtually continuously.

I expect Bradl and Marquez will move up to MotoGP next season as they are the class of the field in Moto2, however I expect Bradl will do better as Marquez is only 50kg (even smaller than Dani Pedrosa).

If Marquez's team are really testing more than the rest, what are the current rules on testing in Moto2? Elias's Moriwaki team were fined last year for unofficial testing when they were trying to improve the aerodynamics and/or ram air intake effect to compete with the straight line speed of Iannone's Speed Up FTR. Have the rules been changed since then? Of course for aerodynamic top speed tests it wouldn't actually require the team's official riders to take part, any rider of similar size and weight would do, but presumably that would have still infringed the rules or otherwise they could have avoided the fine by using a test rider.

I've since found a Crash article from June which I'd previously missed, stating:-

"...teams will in future be banned from testing with Moto2 eligible machines fitted with engines other than the official Championship engines. The strict mileage limits on the official Moto2 engines will therefore slash the amount of testing possible. However, the new rule won't come into force until November 8th."

This makes me wonder why the Moriwaki team got fined last year. Either they couldn't be bothered to swap engines or perhaps the rules were different then. Of course the new rule will have no effect until next season now, so any advantage that Marquez's team or others have built up thanks to extra testing will not be affected this year.
