MotoGP » Ben Bostrom gets MotoGP chance with LCR Honda

The former World Superbike Championship race winner will ride in both MotoGP and AMA Superbike over the weekend.

For all of you complaining about Ben getting the wildcard, no rider on a factory team would be able to accept a wildcard from Honda. There is no way Hayes or Young would be allowed to ride for Honda!!

The whole purpose of the wildcard is for LCR to get American air time for their sponsors so to that end they want an American rider not an injured Rea.

LCR has an existing relationship with MJM so one of their riders would be the easy choice. Since they get only 1 bike, which rider would be mature enough to not throw it away, be good on air and get a decent result?

Ben Bostrom - see not hard at all

I think LCR should put the bike back to standard honda settings. Else with tonis way out settings he is going to stuggle in just 3 practice sessions. But hope he does well in front of his home crowd.

Who cares? He is a loser, there is NO WAY he is going to do anything even remotely impressive on a bike he hasn't even ridden yet. If Benny is all that he thinks he is, why isn't he already in MotoGP? He has had his chances and he douched them everytime.

Some much haters on doubters here. Bostrom has everything to win but nothing to lose with this stunt. Because if he dont succeed it's down to his inexperience of MotoGP bikes, tires and unsuccessful team. So odds are against him but miracles can happen.

I'm really hoping he does well tough as he was one of my favorites on WSBK back in the days.

another pumped up american ! and when i say pumped up,i mean pumped up full of hot air and hype, and pr bullsh11t ,like all your racers, hayden edwards (no hopers on good bikes)hopkins and even spies, i remember when you had real racers, rainey, roberts schwantz etc who could not give a rats ass for all the pr bull, and could really race a bike , what happened ffs, europe is miles ahead

I guess England isn't part of Europe. Over 30 yrs without a win in the premier class - pathetic really.

Aussie's & yanks laugh at the best you have to offer. Stick to bsb where you poms belong.

They would be better Sticking sandwich boards on the Americans Bostrom, Hayden, Edwards and Spies send them round to walk a couple of laps instead of wasting good bikes and fuel on them. Stll you got to feel for them when they come from a country soon to be bankrupt with it's crippling debt. USA soon to be repo'd by China
