Ben rode strong.

Dovi said "I lost the battle with Spies and this is the first time I've lost a battle this year."

Hate to break it to you, this attitude is Dovi's downfall. I would think losing the race, or at the least finishing off the podium, would basically be a loss. Add to that he is on a super fast bike. He seems to always comment about his battles back in the pack. Just an observation.

Well, at least it wasn't a parade. Sad for Spies, I thought he would be fighting with Pedrosa for the 3rd spot, but as Ben said, that's racing.

A lot of injured riders this year already, wonder how Spies' hand is today? Hopefully all will be healthy by the next race after the break.

Nice guys finish last?

If I'm not mistaken Ben is a multiple AMA champ against one of the meanest SOB's to ride there and a WSBK champ in his first attempt.

Where do you people come up with this crap?

you are mistaken Ben is a nice guy, but he does have a killer instinct when he clicks in and gets on the bike.

Still far cry from JLo.. that guy has the biggest rocks in a paddock. Even if he may not win this year he is a true champion, it will go all way down to the wire.

Neither will Ben Spies nor Nicky Hayden will win any more MotoGP race let a lone the championship and dont even count Collin Edwards II he's out. When Wayne Rainey won his championship, Mick Doohan was out and Rainey's closest competition was Kevin Schwantz on the crappy Suzuki. Then Rainey injured himself and Schwantz won the championship. When Doohan got better he came back and ruled GP for 4-5 yrs. Hayden won the championship by collecting points on the best bike in GP, now on the Ducati he cant see the podium with a magnifying glass. Edwards been on factory machinery and cant win race for 10yrs. Spies on factory machinery and cant win a straight out fight with the like of Stoner and Lorenzo, his problem is getting off the line. I honestly dont think any American will be winning any MotoGP championship anytime soon. NOW BEFORE ALL THE FAN GIRLS AND BOYS START ATTACKING ME, I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW THAT I DONT HATE ANY OF THESE RIDERS. I JUST DONT SEE ANY ONE THEM CAN POSSIBLY WIN THE

Hayden was on the best bike in the championship.. interesting assessment. Hayden spent most of that season playing guinea pig for the bike they were building around Pedrosa's body size.. in a team that wanted Pedrosa to be the winner. The Honda wasn't particularly amazing, it's just the Yam had front end chatter problems on the initial frame they delivered that year.. plus they had a few break downs.

Hayden's championship was no less deserved than any others.
