How can Simo's bargaining power increase "massively" by getting a single podium?? Dovi already has 4 podiums this year and 3 of which are 2nd place finishes. A win may increase his bargaining power but I don't see how a single podium will give him any additional leverage when he's suppose to have at least 1 of those already instead of a massive repair bill.

Apparently Sic is demanding another factory ride for next year, which I find interesting because he isn't in the position to demand anything from anyone.

Hiroshi should be able to retain his seat alongside Dovi for next year. Unfortunately if Gresini is really calling it the 'Simoncelli project' it is highly unlikely Hiroshi will stay.

I'm sure Gresini would love the idea of employing Rossi (as Melandri has hinted to) however, I highly doubt HRC would allow it. If they did allow it I doubt they would support him.

The bottom line is better riders have lost thier seat for a lot less than what Simo has shown.

There are rumors of Rossi in talks trying to get a factory honda for next year. I doubt it'll happen, Honda's not going to let Rossi on a factory bike w/ a B team. Repsol wouldn't allow it.

I am more curious to see if Rossi is staying with Ducati or is he is leaving.

Dovi should get his ride, no question. Sic is fast, he always hits the ground at an incredible pace.

@sideshow
I agree, I'd like to see Karl on that bike instead. He's been a surprise on the duc and his team is very new and under funded.

I think Sic is going to be looking for a factory seat, although his race results don't really show that he's earned it. But if someone can teach him not to crash it'd be interesting to see how he rides the 2nd half of a race.

@ monty,

What has Simo done this year? Other than crash his brains out and crashing others out. Front row qualifying doeasn't equal results. Racing is a results based industry in case you haven't been following along.

Given the choice to hire, easy. Dovi and Hiro. Karel would be my next choice followed by Elias or a Moto @ prospect.

Hiro is NOT on a factory kit but is ahead of Simo, who is on a full blown factory kit with factory support. Simo hasn't done a single thing to warrant his ride. He is wreckless, pure and simple.
