Perhaps more of a kick-start than Bautista ideally wanted, since I think Hopper is already threatening to be top Suzuki finisher come Sunday.

Any way you cut it, to come in as a wildcard and place 10th after FP2 is impressive stuff. Suzuki Japan will be watching closely, I'm sure.

" -I was very happy with that, and the fact that he didn't get upset and just let me follow."

unlike that one girl that get's all bend out of shape if she doesn't have the track all to herself....

Really impressive practice from both riders. Bautista has been improving quite a bit in the past few races and sorting the Suzuk himself.

Hopkins, man what can you say? Great rider with superb style. Hope he is back next year and the factory will commit.

7th in FP1, which is the top spot behind those 6 elite RCVs and M1s, was as impressive as securing pole in WSBK of the other day! I really hope he'll maintain this momentum thoroughout the weekend.

Welcome back to the GP, Hooper!!!!!

Hopper really was the victim of some bad luck over the last few years. But I love the way he said he would bounce back and then put in the hard work and effort to do so.

Some would find shame in stepping "down" to what some would consider to be lesser championships. Not Hopper, he saw it for what it was and has made the most out of it without ever complaining and always showing gratitude for the opportunities. Hopefully Suzuki stick around and run two bikes next year. They potentially have two great level-headed riders that are going to work to get the best results possible.
