"Reminds me of the people who think Lewis Hamilton is better than schumacher"

um, Lewis Hamilton is better than Schumacher. When was the last time you watched a race?

This is 2011 not 2002. The present is not the past and past success doesn't equal present success but it seems some can't distinguish the difference.

The Ducati's are not only the worst handling bikes on the grid, but now they are also the slowest bikes on the grid . Hayden had by far the slowest bike in the race, his top speed never went over 289.7 kmph in a 22 lap race,Capirossi was the 2nd slowest bike on another Ducati, and Rossi had the 3rd slowest bike in the race Rossi's top speed was in between 290-291 kmph most of the race, with the exception of a few high 289 kmph laps . Bautista on the Suzuki was averaging 10 kmph faster then Hayden on top speed, and Edwards on a satelight Yamaha was averaging 5 kmph faster on top speed then Hayden's factory Ducati .

Honda only looks better when the top Yamaha made a mistake choosing the wrong tyre for the race. They did dominating the race because they all did it right in the race.

The only thing hold Spies from those Hondas was Lorenzo's championship points. No one ask him to be the good teammate. But, that is how he decided to help Lorenzo reducing the damages.

Liam, now that you acknowledge the year the races that are the topic of discussion is 2011 and that is the only championship of consequence right now maybe yourself and others can stop bringing up useless bits of info to make mediocre performances appear spectacular.

@BillAce is was just trying to acknowledge the deference between last year and this as a bit of fun... i like many people enjoy lookingat facts... if you don't then don't read my comment as simple as...

@RawDawg i hope you realise that i was taking the mick as harmless fun as this forum gets a bit too serious at times i didn't mean anything by it :)

With the engine rule this can be deceiving. Hayden lost 2 motors early on and is trying to get as much out of used engines as he can before switching to the GP11.1 hopefully. That can account for the difference. Hayden was also in front of Edwards and Colin was probably close enough to get a draft from Hayden and pick up a few km/hr. Gearing choices and even wind gusts would have an impact on top speed so its hard to take trap speed at a point on the track as an indication of real power.
