Good on the girl. Can only help to improve the image of the sport. Motogp could really use an injection of publicity and sponsors right now... Plus she's pretty hot too! Lets hope we see her in the top flight a few years down the line.

Nice gesture by Suzuki who need every spec of good publicity thay can find. And best of luck to Elena. Lets see a sparkling post ride video/inteview on youtube this friday.

Hope this works out better than the Ben Bostrom fiasco at Laguna Seca.

A girl version of Hopper.

I definitely interested looking at her riding styles. Anyone at Indy please take a video of her making the laps and upload it to YouTube. It would be appreciated.

She has talent and is a hard nosed racer but she tends to fade in the latter stages of the race. If she ups her conditioning she probably could contest for wins regularly on the smaller bikes - not sure she'll ever be strong enough for an 800 or 1000 over a full race distance against the best in the world.

It would be time well spent is she used the off season to work out with Spies or Ben Bostrom to see what is needed to compete at the highest levels.

I'd like to see her give moto2 a try in a few years.

Just awesome Suzuki.

This aint a hot Cali chic gettin a free ride, she can race. AMA was at Laguna w MotoGP. AMA ran saturday. Elena took 5th out of 35 other dudes! Ya thats right. This aint a free ride, she's earnin it.

Whats cool is at Laguna she ran 1:30's on a stock 600, while Elias n Capirossi were runnin 1:24's n 1:25's on GP bikes. ha wtf.

I wish her a lotta luck, what a great role model for other girls. All the girl rider's i know (both street n choppers) are following her. Awesome move by Suzuki. And a two HUGE thumbs up to the man behind the curtain, Elena's dad. Clearly an involved father, nothin more important!

check her out: elenamyers(dot)com

And jeez, she's even got her own freekin wikipedia at 17, wtf. If u google my name, all u get is my criminal history, haha. fkn google. do a google search for "wiki elana myers" and you'll get her whole story.

Ride on Elana, twist it like u stole it.

No offence to the little lady but i see this purely as a publicity stunt. There is no way in this world that she is ever going to compete against the likes of Stoner,Lorenzo et al!
What are Suzuki going to get out of it as regards development?
Nothing.I just hope she brings herself and the bike home in one piece.

As others noted she's only getting this chance because she's a female. Many other more qualified riders in other series or Moto2 should have the chance instead of her to try out the MotoGP bike. But that said glad to see her competiting her series.
