re: "It says no "official" team orders. That is McLaren talk for "but Ben may perceive that any blow to Jlo's championship hunt might be viewed negatively and act accordingly completely on his own"

exactly. team orders delivered "ex-officiale".

Hey whats with the stange responses to my factual posts!?

Like i said yes you can say ifs and buts and about both haga and spies being knocked off, and if this and if that, but the point is about team orders. And despite the other ifs and buts, the fact is that with Ducati team orders in play, Spies would not have been world champion. Spies won by a few points and haga's team mate took 10 points off him due to no team orders.

Why are people getting their knickers in a twist because im pointing out facts. You have to love Spies fans, they have weird way of not seeing the facts like everyone else can hahahahaha! Instead of people abusing me for pointing out these facts, please tell me why you disagree. LOL!

True, if Spies didn't have the luck of Fabrizo, his season would have been a bust. Your right Trigger! I am a fan of Spies, well I was till you convinced me of his pure luck no merit ways. When once I was blind, now I can see! Thank you sooooo much for your very big "if".

What am I saying, Spies is the man!

Trigger, your facts are retarded, here are the facts: Spies raced 1 year in WSBK and won the championship, he won half the races, he had 11 of 13 poles, you are sadly mistaken if you think that Fabrizio killed it for Haga, if anything he helped him by taking Spies out of a race that Spies likely would have won. I don't understand your logic, other than that you are a European whom hates to admit that Spies is a great rider due to your anti-American bias.

You see trigger, you aren't posting fact. you are posting supposition. You are supposing that if Ducati had team orders Spies would have lost the title. What you leave out of your supposition is that Spies, while in fact winning by less than 10 points, cruised around to finish 5th to Haga's 2nd because all he had to do was finish there to win the title. Had he needed more points, he probably would have gone out and won the race by the same kind of margin he won the first one. Spies won race with in 38:15 while Fabrizio won race 2 in 38:19. Spies could have easily run the time he needed to win that race and title too while Haga simply could not.

Hey Trigger, are you still trying to justify why you came in way behind HI-Yo Silver and Mr. Ed? LOL

Guess what Trigger, IF Secretariat had never been born he'd never have been a Triple Crown winner. Please follow along: IF only Pedrosa hadn't collided with Simoncelli, if only Yamaha had kept Rossi, if only Ducati still had a trellace frame, if only Stoner hadn't won five races, if only only Agostini and Hailwood, King Kenny, etc. were still racing...

IF IF IF. IF only Trigger could stick to the facts then we'd maybe have an intelligent discussion.
