re: "Team orders suck and ruin the sport for the fans."

actually, what ruins the sport for the fans is a lack of sponsorship that over time erodes a manufacturers level of participation to where they suddenly announce, "hey, no more race team".

re: "Why cloud the air with talk of team orders? We can only guess at it right now. It'd be nice if Yamaha put pen to paper on it making it official but they arent that stupid."

exactly, it's nothing the boffins can't see to come race day.

It's perfectly clear that team orders were used by Honda at Mugello. Stoner was clearly told to slow down in the last half of the race to let Dovi catch up and go through because Dovi needed the points more than Stoner. Lorenzo taking the win was just colateral damage from Honda's point of view.

Sounds Silly?? you bet. BUT if it was the other way around and Dovi was the one losing pace and dropping back to third at Mugello to "gift" Stoner a second place the Rossi fans would be screaming team orders.

txbitt, hmmmmmmmm, it seems its your intelligence thats 'retarded' as you say. No one is denying that spies won half the races, 11 poles or whatever. I was pointing out the obvious. But it seems its only a few with 'retarded' intelligence that cannot grasp it. I honestly dont understand whats going off in your head if you seriously dont understand it. LOL!

Oh my gawd. What us with Ben Spies fans. Why do they never want to accept the facts. We are discussing team orders, and the guy on the other page is saying Ducati threw their championship away because they didnt have team orders. I actually respect Ducati for doing that, and i have USA running through my veins (#69 more so if im honest), but im not blinkered enough to realise and understand that with Ducati team orders then Ben Spies would not have been WC. Thats all the guys are saying. With all other variables the same, its just basic maths.
Although i cringe at some of the pists on here, what makes me cringe more is the response from some of my fellow fans. We are not all dumb, so please dont think that we are based on a couple who cannot comprehend basic logic.

Trigger, again you are a wrong. There is one fact, Spies won the championship. To state that he would of lost if Ducati had team orders as being fact is asinine. You have know way of knowing how that would of changed the complexion of those races. There are a multitude of 'what if' possibilities that you can make up and stupidly call fact in order to make yourself feel better about Spies winning the championship, but there is only one true fact, that is what happened, deal with it.

dovi and pedrosa has pretty much been Jlo's teammate this year, taking points away from stoner and whats worse is holding stoner up, but stoner has risen to the challenge and has made superb passes on his teammates...
