MotoGP » Pedrosa, Stoner slam new Indy asphalt

"The quality of the new asphalt is disappointing, not what a World Championship circuit deserves. There is no grip and the level is very irregular" - Dani Pedrosa.

No, embarrassing for the riders complaining about it. Its a brand new surface with virtually no rubber laid down. Quit your crying and ride. You arent on any different of a surface than your competitors so figure it out. You top level guys make millions of dollars. Earn It!!!!

Just to throw this out there because it probably will get mention anyway...

In comparison to FP1 at Mugello which was also resurfaced for this year, the top 5 riders were under the lap record set last year by Pedrosa. But of course, Mugello is probably used a thousand times more than the Indy infield.

The conditions are the same for everyone. Friggen whining primadonnas.

Shut your pie holes, and earn your money as PROFESSIONAL MOTORCYCLE RACERS. Everyone knew the surface would be really green as it doesn't get any use like other tracks when MotoGP isn't there.

Gee RawDawg... finally... an enlightened comment on the new asphalt... Not to ping you too much... but really... the surface was laid down less than two months ago... and hasn't been used for any racing... and there are no track days there either...

Some of the riders bitched about the surface last year because of the bumps.. and now they bitch because the surface is new and not seasoned...

Go figure...

Riders complaining about things that have to do with riding, that's a healthy sign in any sport. An one of the best things for progress.
But spectators moaning about riders that are critical (wtf, who knows best about acceptable grip levels on a top circuit?), is just lame and sad to see...
