who said Rossi only win with the best equipment...????

fact 2001 -Rossi win WC on Honda satellite bike
fact 04-05 -Rossi win WC back-to-back on the underdog M1

Can Casey jump on any bike & be competitive..???

fact 2007 - Ducati was superior with 15km/h faster on top speed than any other bike. And thnx to desmodromic valve, gp07 engine could rev higher than any other bike also. While Honda, Yam & SUzuki struggle with their spring valve tech......

fact 2011 - Honda indeed is the advance & superior bike with seamless transmission today. While M1 didn't change a lot since Rossi left it. And the Duc just discovered their problem with the bike...

So, who's the one who win easy with the best equipment & while the other struggle...????

I guess he's the right guy, at the right place, at the right moment....

Hats off to Stoner for his win only one guy would have challenged him Ben Spies but for me his ride was ride of the day picking off rider after rider the passes were awesome to watch the ones on Dovi, Hayden and his team-mate the pass on the brakes was sick his pace was good enough for 2nd place I think he could give a race to them aliens in whats left of the seaso I still have not written him off yet becoming one.

Fact!! lol, go check em out, in 2001 Rossi was on a Factory HRC 500 with Mick Doohans crew, aka JB et el. Never a satellite bike...

It was just in differnet sponsors colours... Fact..

04-05, dont think the M1 was as bad as Rossi had you believe... The other riders at the time were crap anyway, fact....

Fair play, he's getting the job done but it's not much of a spectacle IMO.

I'm looking forward to the end of the season now - at least Stoner will ****** off back to Walkabout Creek for a few months.

personally i dont see the point in talking about Rossi if he is up there racing with the top guys and winning races again great but if he isnt why the hell are people still talking about him in post's about who won the race start talking about him when he wins again

@ Mick and all the others with short memories...

Racing is cyclical, Stoner will be on an ordinary bike in a year or two, or some new hotshot will come along, and all of this current dominance will be seen in the same negative way as many of you on here see Rossi's achievements - especially if people commenting on threads like this ren't old enough to remember the previous era. Same happened with Rossi, people started to forget what a legend Doohan was and suddenly Rossi was the greatest... Stoner is having his moment in the sun, but he isn't the greatest ever - not yet anyway, not even close.

Boring, boring, so ####### boring to watch. Maybe once we have more competitive bikes we can see close racking again. These days I want to switch off after 5 laps.

Stoner owned the weekend, and would have won whoever got a good start. He had more to give if it became necessary, it did not. The best rider in the field at the moment, no doubt.
