MotoGP » Laverty: Tech 3 my top choice for MotoGP

The Irishman is looking onwards and upwards for 2012 after it was confirmed his Yamaha World Superbike team won't continue next season.

It's highly dubious that any motogp team will choose him, Tech3 has a lot of riders to pick from, and probably Edwards will keep the seat, or in case he does not it will likely go to someone coming from moto2 (Bradl?)

Even if he brings the sponsors it is doubtful that he is Tech 3's 'top choice...or even second or third choice...in Moto2...as a the guy who hands the spanner the wrench...for that matter. Good luck with that one Eugene.

Seems to be a lot of people slagging Eugene off for wanting a job next year, he has proven he can beat good ex grand prix riders, he knows the tracks, he is one of our brightest talents and yet he still doesn't deserve a ride in moto gp's according to some.
I am a huge fan of Colin Edwards but I believe he has had his time in Moto gp's and it's time to move on and let some fresh blood in.
I wish Eugene all the best for next year and would love to see him on a Yamaha M1

I seem to recall a a comment (unconfirmed rumour) by the BBC or Eurosport commentary team(s) that CE said in an interview at the weekend that he would be leaving Tech-3 at the end of the year and going to a CRT ride. Herve pretty much said the same thing in a different interview, although he also said he would like to keep CE on for another year.

At least Eugene has some previous experience of MotoGP, and doesn't seem to let the fame go to his head unlike the lad from Coventry...

Talk about childish comments. just shows the quality of the writers, average age of 10 or am I insulting 10 year olds.
What Laverty has done this year is astonishing considering he never rode a superbike or 1000cc machine until he began testing for Yamaha. The only riders ahead of him in the championship are ex motogp riders.
Get a life children and see the obvious talent.
