How many times has casey got to tell us that, that he is there to win races, championships are incidental, is that so hard for you to understand ? So what gives ?

Its amusing to ponder the question thats on everyones lips in the gaps between motogp's.

whos the quickest cs or vr?

Its a tough question for a number of reasons.

Firstly weather you like it or not (and I suspect some dont) Motogp is not just about the riders its about the factorys competing, its always been like that and if you dont find this technical aspect interesting dont watch, you will probably enjoy production based racing better because it is closer racing or the smaller catergories moto 2 or 125's.

In his golden years Rossi dominated, some years winning nearly every race, critics suggest there was little talent around at the time and he was on the best bike, well thats how this class has always been, its not all about the riders the factorys are competeing technically and this is what people who follow it find as interesting as the riders.

Interestingly not sure if VR was a little embarrased about how much quicker his team was but he never rode off into the distance, I think he liked to put on a show and let second place past and then repass.

Put VR on a honda or yamaha now and CS would beat him Put 25 year old VR on a honda or yamaha with current CS and it would be a great race! I dont think you could call it although I suspect Casey could put in the fastest qualifying lap.

2009 Jorge was often quicker but VR was better at tactics. I am sure VR knew his time was coming to an end and the younger riders were faster.

So there you go...its not all about the riders its a factory competition as well, its not about close racing its a competition!

If you are a big fan of VR and I know there a lot take solace in the knowledge hes had a great career but hes in his twilight and CS is definitely in his prime!

"I'd be more surprised if he hasn't won 12 races by years end with his favorite tracks coming up.

I really hope Honda give Rossi a factory Honda out of pity next year.

They need a good No 2 like him in case Dani is injured."

I really hope so. Being no2 I doubt it. Last time stoner tried to battle with rossi (laguna seca) stoner cried boo boo.
