Not an excuse, but for sure I wouldn't like to bin the new bike, considering he only got the full CF-version then. But still only third Ducati isn't really that good. We'll have to see what happens in FP2.
PS not a fan of Rossi, Stoner or Lorenzo, but just wishes them all well for the sake of good racing.

Yes dravid, but the only times any of those riders get close to Rossi is in practice and qualifying.

Rossi has only been beaten by another ducati 3 times this season-his teammate.

8th in 1st free-practice doesn't means diddly squat as it's a 'practice' session, so no need to be wetting yer knickers till the flag drops in qualifying tomorrow, however we all know VR can (and has) cut his way through the pack come race day.

Anywhere 7th (or better) would be a positive when the flag drops on Sunday afternoon, surely you don't all expect a podium when the other aliens are on a roll ?

Lets keep it in perspective FP1, none the less good effort by Dani, lets not forget that Valentino and Casey have not ridden their respective bikes round here before, and didnt Valentino "only" finish 6th last year on his Yamaha? so too early to tell much.
