Indeed I agree,

Whether it be luck, misfortune or not drinking enough milk, Dani just keeps getting himself injured season to season and it has and will continue to stop him from ever getting that WC.

I also agree that yes perhaps this wouldn't of been Dani's year, with or without the occurance of Lemans, after he dropped it with no pressure at Czech... but in saying that anything could of happened without the disaster that was Lemans

I love the 'what if game'

IF Dani had not been injured at Motegi last year, barring further crashes in races:
He could well have won Motegi and would at worst have been second. He would probably have won Malaysia. He wouldn't have won Phillip island but might've been able to beat Lorenzo for second. He could very conceivably have won Estoril given he won there earlier this year on what is widely understood to be roughly the same bike. He could well have won Valencia.

I doubt that this would've been enough to win the title and this is of course all fantasy. But I think he would have won somewhere in the region of 6-8 races and finished around 20-30 points down. The Honda was superb for most of the second half of last year, he had already won 4 and with the speed Dovui was able to show in the subsequent races...

No disrespect to Dovi but Dani not being there masks the fact that the Honda was well and truly sorted for the second half of last year.

If I played the 'what if game' this y

Give credit where it is due. Pedrosa tested a lot of different frames in free practice sessions last year and as a consequence, Honda found a good direction. Dovizioso tried one, or two, then stuck with the one he'd started the season on. Pedrosa got Honda going in the right direction so when Stoner jumped on his bike he was fast. He did not like Dovi's set-up. And he has said several times this year he really, really wants Dani's input on the 1000cc machine. So please do not disrespect Pedrosa. He's a little guy with a big heart and even bigger balls. He was almost in tears that he was unable to race at Phillip Island last year. He was hurting, physically and mentally. Then he has another break this year. Seen how many scars there are on his arms?

Strongly agree with MrQwerty and TheBaron

Pedrosa is a top guy who does so much charity especially with regards to kids. He needs some fortune going into next year and I hope he finds it.

@crachet

any good rider either on honda RCV or yamaha M1 will sometimes get decent podiums. and anyone one (LCR) or Duc wont get any poles except Casey.Duc Casey was on looked atleast competitve.Honda he is riding currently is good n looking superior due to his interperence.i dont know the reason.you make out your own invented excuses!.rossi only beats casey sofar 2 to 1 when was in the world's wellknown super smooth M1 yamaha whereas casey on brutal yet owns rossi by race win number.is that too complicated to you?
