"I thought after Brno that I wouldn't get the opportunity again and was really disappointed that I missed out there due to a silly mistake, so to be heading to Sepang is fantastic" - John Hopkins.

I am sincerely curious.
will anyone here claim that Hopkins bought this ride?

Surely someone with "real" skill is more deserving? that is sarcasm for all those Sheldons out there.

Don't see how Hopper has bought this ride. Think it is more down to his long standing relationship with Suzuki & Paul denning, coupled with his good showings in the BSB this season.
Have to agree that he is fairly average as a rider, however so are half of the Moto GP grid show should do pretty well, however like everything you are only as good as the bike you ride. Not sure we will see him next year on a Suzuki in Moto GP... rumours sugguest LCR Honda have made him a strong offer.
