I personally feel that Rossi's ego, and mind games will never allow him to be in the same team as someone like Casey. Lorenzo beat him at his own game and the only comment he could make is, I developed the bike. Which he did, but someone else could ride it faster than he did.
Up front, Rossi has 7 premier class titles, you don't do that by luck alone. He is a champion, and a legend of the sport, however being competitive isn't forever.

@ 1000cc - I personally feel that Rossi's ego, and mind games will never allow him to be in the same team as someone like Casey.

You forget, Rossi has already Veto'd Stoner as a team mate - @ Yamaha in 2006. I also suspect that Stoner is well inside Rossi's head now he has had a chance to ride the Ducati. He must still be wondering just how Stoner made the thing a regular podium contender let alone a winner. I am sure that Rossi has re-evaluated some of his battles with Stoner - such as Laguna Seca - and has a different persepctive now.

...."If Rossi had a bike equal to stoner."

It already happen this year! you've got amnesia? end of last season and the beginning of this season Rossi rode the same machine/bike but the result Rossi could not perform like Casey did

Stoner will no doubt turn this into yet another procession! Great for Stoner fans! Not great for everyone else! Not Stoners fault! But this has been the most boring Moto GP season EVER!

Lorenzo is sandbagin the last grandprix.for the last weekends..... he is so slow in the FP1,2,3...but always on the pace in the last minute of qualifying, maybe he let stoner think thats is hes max pace. so in the last minute he can open the gas more, just like today...but stoner know what a child can do to win..go casey dont let them F your mind up

I pissed myself laughing when watching the qualifing the commentators were talking about rossi and how he is the only rider to have finished all the races so far and is in 6th place in the championship, mind u the guy leading the championship has hsd one dnf due to been taken out by the only guy that has finished every race,so casey didnt finish every race last year but still managed 4th didnt he so it realy doesnt say much for rossi and ducati for there first year

So if my interpretation is right the R mans skill, no in fact what makes him the GOAT, is that he doesn't fall off. If he does make a significant mistake then it is at a cost not paid by the R man.

Some of you kids are just idiots(most of you) haven't been watching very long I can tell your bandwagon fans it make me laugh. You were Jorge Lorenzo fans last year.

The fuel limits are gay and no matter what Dani and Stoner say it's better for smaller riders... it's got nothing to do with tire wear it's about the engine mapping allow the fuel through. This is why Simo is screwed.

Demi-god, you are a sour puss.

It's tough luck for Simmo that he is so big compared ti some of the others. The smaller guys are always going to be at an advantage. Esentially they are the same as jockeys and I don't see any 80 kg jockeys getting around.

As for the comment about being a fair weather fan and people jumping from jlo to casey so they are on the winning team is rubbish.

I have always been a Casey fan. Last year I found JLo kind of annoying. This year though he has really impressed me.

His attitude has been great. He hasn't whinged about much and is fighting tooth and nail to keep his title.
