MotoGP » Suzuki: Bautista's not stupid…

"Alvaro's not stupid… he knew he had to push hard to keep fourth place - fifth or sixth wasn't going to do it as far as he was concerned. That's racing" - Paul Denning.

@John: Yeah, right! Would you have said it's "the 3rd best bike" at the start of the season? Surely not! Everyone was still making jokes about the "Slowsuki" back then. Now guess who made the bike as competitive as it is now? Being the only rider and despite struggling with serious injury for a good part of the season?

And look at the races since Mugello and you see that Bautista is exactly doing what you smugly assumed Hopkins would be easily doing - regularly fighting for 6th place and up.

So stop slagging Bautista off and start giving the guy some respect, he absolutely earned it the hard way this year.

i dont think anyone thought he was stupid paul. bautista dos nt deserve negative ****. he has had enough problems and continues to do so as it is without people writing bitchy **** about him. he is a young guy and deals with things very well. he does a very good job!

Thats because the Suzuki wasnt the 3rd best bike at the start of the season. The engineers have done well, Bautista hasnt.

When he passes barbera and aoyama in the championship then we can talk about somebody who isnt a compelete failure, just a small failure.

Dude, you make no sense. According to your logic Hopkins then would be just the same kind of "failure" on the bike getting 6th or 7th places when obviously "it's all just the engineer's doing" and the rider has no say in it. Please make up your mind.

And as you go on and on about the championship standings I suppose you conveniently forgot that Bautista missed the first two races of the season. He broke his leg, you know...

Lets not forget this is somebody who couldnt finish in the top 10 at the start of the season and now all of a sudden he's up there with and ahead of the Ducati's

the bike has obviously gotten much better, its not down to Bautista, use some common sense.
