poor Rossi, worst year of his life... hopefully the "smiles" seen at the test were a sign of more a more competitive ducati. This year was a snorefest, no matter who you are a fan of. I just like to seen great racing and there really hasn't been any.

@Dave

Are you saying the red bike drift from outside SPIES into two Yamahas at the end of braking zone when everyone onsetting their corner entering lines? Come on, it's Rossi's decision to make a bet and he's behind Lorenzo even at the touching moment. How this can be lorenzo's problem? Did you see any mirror on GP bike for rider to make gental close-door action?

This is race, he wanna gambling for position and cost his/SPIES' race that's it. He should shut his mouth saying anything towards Lorenzo and say sorry to SPIES.

JL is shading the truth a little, I think he knew it was Rossi coming round the outside and lifted his bike to deny Rossi any room.
H'e gone on to admit he didn't know it was Rossi. In other words he knew there was a bike sat next to him on the outside, but drifted wide all the same with little regard to the other rider. Why would he do that, knowing there was zero room?
It had to be a blocking move.
Either that or just dangerous riding.
I do believe JL owes Simoncelli an apology for tainting him a dangerous rider when he does pretty much the same thing from time to time, especially when someone dares pass him.

I see it as Rossi was trying to dive up the inside of Spies right as Lorenzo was moving over to set up for the turn. Just like Rossi said it was nobody's fault. Rossi was going for a position and Lorenzo was just setting up for a turn. I am definitely no Rossi fan, but it sucks for him, Ducati and his fans because I am sure he would have had a good result. Also really sucks for Spies. Lorenzo was consistent and looks like he will probably push the championship decision past Australia and on to Sepang.

Lorenzo 'may' have known it was Rossi so 'may' have squashed him out a little more than he should. He wasnt trying to knock him off but...but well they're hardly best mates are they? And Rossi would have done exactly the same given the chance.
That what happens when you race with people who dislike each other...it would be boring otherwise. (or more boring in the case of MotoGP)

Oh and crash - it's 'Replay' not 'Reply'

First two corners of any race is no place for anyone to drift across the track, it's plain dangerous when bikes are three abreast, all jostling for position.
JL was on the inside and had the racing line, there was no reason for him to drift that wide and brake that late, unless it was to shunt Rossi off the track.
Spies was unlucky to get shot in the crossfire, but JL was the man that pulled the trigger.
