MotoGP » Checa to test GP12 for Ducati?

The Spaniard would be the ideal solution for Ducati in its efforts to maintain a consistent development curve on the GP12.

In all honesty Ducati brought this upon themselves wasting 5 of the allocated test days testing a Carbon frame chasis for the Gp12 learn to take a hint guyz the bike was a dud

it's not only Checa that they have to put on the GP12, but also the WSBK team
how can ducati wins in WSBK and loose on Motogp ?
maybe the WSBK team have something to say on the design of the bike

Carlos was notorious in his GP days for throwing it down the road, not sure what valuable feedback He could provide for the GP12.
If others are allowed to test, can't see the logic as to why regular riders can't do more days - crazy.

I seem to remember the last time Checa tried a MotoGP bike the brakes gave him such bad arm pump he couldn't ride it. Is he really going to be able to push it hard enough to suggest improvements?

as we all know by now, throwing it down the road doesnt mean anything, ask Casey.

It would be funny as hell though if Checa's laptimes would be faster than Rossi's, then again I doubt that they would publish that. Either way, I'm sure Rossi and Ducati will come out fine for next year.

Why havent they drafted in their prodical son Troy Bayliss? I would have thought Troys riding style, setup ability as well as his 'tell it like it is' attitude would be of huge benefit in fixing their dog of a bike...

@wlrone just give it up about the Casey thing he won't test the Duke and he'll tell Ducati the same thing all the riders have said... it's basically $h1t but having Checa test it can only be good as he rode the GP5 and he's experienced and he'll confirm what Rossi and Hayden have said about it and what improvements are needed this can only be good for Ducati.

This story is as hot as "Casey overtakes his old team-mate"

C O U L D test. Not IS TESTING...

Ducati should be careful as that Bloke in the wheelchair was following Carlos everywhere last weekend as Ducati won something more than just a (gifted) podium place.

@Dangerboy, maybe Troy has been on it and told the TRUTH.... That there's NOTHING wrong with GP bike.

The answers to this years Farce, won't be answered until next year.

New bike a pooper = Blame Ducati
New bike a winner = Blame Ducati.
